RENTON, Washington — DSQA-trained QB Trey Wheeler of Liberty High School (10-1) faced an obvious passing situation and a very tall order in the Washington Class 3A playoffs Friday.

Down 35-17 with 10:46 left in the game, Liberty’s passing game and Wheeler’s R4 training took over.

Wheeler (19 of 27, 289 yards, 3 TD) came through with three unanswered scoring drives for a 38-35 win that keeps Liberty alive in the Washington state playoffs.

“R4 was born out of our desire to speed up the decision making process for the QB. In the same way, our C4 system accelerates his understanding of throwing consistency and accuracy,” said Darin Slack, QB coach and founder of DSQA.

Wheeler, a junior, is a veteran of DSQA camps and individual training with DSQA coach JC Boice.

“He rarely misses his mark. That didn’t just happen though,” Boice said. “Trey has really absorbed R4 and C4 and has come as close as any QB we work with to mastering them.”
